I have recently Started sparring, and noticed that on the occasions where I have been hit really hard, the head shots have been much easier to get over. Typically lasting anywhere from a few seconds to a mild head ache (for the bad ones). On the contrary, body shots hurt like hell, not much during sparring, but quite a bit at night and a day or two after. Granted, the ones that hurt were hard hits, one right to the bottom of the sternum and another right in the ribs. But they hurt like hell. Is it normal for a solid body shot to hurt for a couple days?
