uhhh man don't recommend those. Unless they have improved it from a later model, those gloves fit like cardboard compared to a good pair of ringsides.

I like the new protex bag gloves, the protex 2 and 3. Both solid gloves.

IMO though, anything ringside is a great deal.

Ask pork chop about those. He's very informed with Grant equipment, although unsure if he's tried the Campeon bag gloves.

i still haven't tried grant campeon, sorry.

the expensive grant superbag gloves are the best i've ever owned.
after that, it's kind of a toss up.

American stand up has a good grant knock off, though the leather's like a title glove (the indian or pakistani shiny pu leather on their weighted bag gloves), and you can get them for real cheap on ebay. but they fit real nice, they've lasted okay (haven't been training much), and i don't really have any complaints.

Ringside makes a bunch of good ones, i know a lot of people who rave about their original super bag glove, i like their ultimate classic super bag glove (though my pair is real old), and I loved my IMFs as well (super duper durable, though the striking surface is a bit round for my tastes). One of my good friends uses an old pair of ringside amateur competition gloves as his bag gloves, those things are like 5 years old and they are AWESOME.

I didn't have much luck with my Title Gels, though I know some folks who swear by them. My old trainer who had a pair of fighting gloves loved those things, they're kinda the high-end title line. One of my first pairs of gloves was a pair of 23oz titles, and people at my gym still use them (I donated them).

I don't like everlast and have a hard time thinking up something good to say about them. I had 2 pairs of bag mitts, the cheap pair lasted but was like wearing a driving glove for protection, the other pair was more expensive and fell apart in a month. Had a pair of their professional training gloves that are hard to get anymore, they fit nice, but the stuffing came out of them within a month.

Shevlin makes some nice stuff if you want to go custom. They require some break in time, especially the fit around the thumbs. The padding's very spongy.

Winning is the go to (after IMF) if you've got brittle hands (and the money of course).

Rivals are supposed to be good. I've only seen one pair and they were like 12oz, but looked well made, though the leather itself looked more "high tech" than "high quality".

Top Tens ain't bad. My favorite part about them is that you can get a 16oz glove from them that's smaller than most 12oz gloves.

i haven't had good experience with mexican brands like reyes as bag gloves. both pairs of reyes gloves i had were awful on the bag.

If you want to go Thai brands, there's some good stuff out there.

Twins - take a while to break in, but are great when they finally do, lots of padding though.

Kings - fit awesome right off the bat, but the leather feels like rubber & i didn't like how the gloves would warp at the moment of impact. Instead of breaking in over time like the Twins, I just got the feeling that they'd break down instead.

Fairtex- top of the line, especially the mexican ones, but expensive.

Windy - hard as a brick at first, supposed to be much softer once broken in, i hated how they fit, the thumbs were odd, and they were way too big inside (16oz).

boon - look kinda like everlast high performance gloves, but cut better, better leather, and better padding. the 16s are huge (and get even bigger once you've been using them a while). I had a pair of 14s that were nice.

            hope it helps.

What would be the best gloves to use to protect the wrists? Sometimes I hit the bag and I twist my wrist on impact (I know its the product of throwing with poor technique at times!) but re there any gloves which are particularly good for wrist support?

I did a full review on the Rival Ultra Bag Gloves. Please see the thread below:

                    http://jeetwin360.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=276901

I've had the gloves for a year now and they are still in great condition. I use them almost everyday...the padding is still together and there are no tears or signs of wear.
