My friend who boxe's out of the same gym as me is turning pro after 11 fights and at age 32, he says he still has time and age is only a number as fighters like archie moore and hopkins have proved. I dont know what to think good idea or bad? he has won 9 of the 11 fights and is a lightheavyweight

a lot ot amateurs turn pro without having much experience really so why not. doesnt matter if you turn pro after 10 fights when youre 25 or 30 really. hell get better the more he trains, let him do his thing. he doesnt have to fight pacquiao in his first fight. hell fight some other pro with little experience and then take the next step. age is just a number. im sure at 32 hes got way more boxing left than some of the 20-25 years olds out there that have done this since they were kids

He could get matched up as cannon fodder for a young prospect. That's what's most likely to happen unless he has a good manager and promoter that are on his side.
