    4 rounds shadow boxing
    4 rounds heavy bag
    3 rounds shadow boxing
    2 rounds working out.

today im going to add 3 or 4 rounds to speed bag at the end. a trainer has only worked with me once so i dont really have a whole lot of stuff i know how to do. i know how to throw 2 punches.

Honestly you probably don't even throw those 2 shots properly yet. Those 2 punches are like bread and butter, the more time that you spend trying to perfect those 2 punches the better.

With your jab, after you have the fluidity and form, start working to the angles instead of just forwards and backwards. Get in the ring and get on that bicycle working every inch of the ring. Start trying to jab while your moving around, then double jab, then switch up quick moving the other way working shots in the rythme of your movement.

A good jab is an excellent tool to have in the amatuers aswell as the pros.

Your workout is fine, your body is still getting acclamated to the work. How many minutes are you working between bells?

    Have fun and work hard.....Rockin'

no i havent gotten those 2 shots properly. im working on them , like not moving my head, getting my arm strong enough, making sure i pop my rjab when i throw it, i have a problem for some reason with bringing my hands back to my face while on the heavy bag. i didnt mean to sound like i was complaining about not knowing more than the 2 punches. but there is 3 minutes working between bells and one minute off.

Pronate your punches (your wrist are facing down when the punch makes contact) thats for your basic 1/2 jab /straight right hand. Go to the mirror and keep your elbows down by your side and your hands under your eyes (cheek area) and work on bringing the punches out and bringing them back. Your looking into the mirror to make sure your not giving any body movement hints that the punches are coming (raising an elbow, dropping your head slightly, turning a glove etc.) Mirror work is an important time that a fighter can actually see and correct and perfect technique. You can do this standing square at the beginning then into your stance then adding movement jabbing into your image then closing with the right hand, either roll under or step away (off to the side) or back up using an angle. Theres alot of things to work on just with two punches and a mirror. Remember you must finish once you add movement, you can't throw punches then just stand there, FINISH!

I didn't think that you were complaining, I was just trying to emphasise how important those two shots are.

for "arm strength", which I believe to actually be shoulder strength , do this. Put your arms straight out infront of you at shoulder height, fingers fully extended palms to the ground. Now start rotating in small tight circles in the clockwise direction. Then speed up the rotations and continue for 90 seconds. At 90 seconds, with out dropping your arms to your side, reverse the rotation so that you are turning counter clockwise. Speed it up and continue for 90 seconds.

At the next 90 seconds spread your arms so that you are making a cross. Start rotating clockwise, then speed up and continue....... Do the clockwise and counter clockwise in this position for 90 seconds each without ever dropping your hands below your shoulders.

Honestly, if you can do these time lengths then I would be surprised. But every day try to achieve those times. If you have to drop your arms because the burn is too much then I would understand. But you must understand that this exercise is not only to strengthen your shoulders but to strengthen your mind aswell. You will feel 'the burn' and you must learn to make that burn your bff ever. Just keep on it and soon you will achieve the times without dropping your arms. When you do that I want you to then use 1lb weights for the exercise. 1lb dumbells in each hand doing the rotations infront of yourself aswell as from the cross position.

Every fighter must have strong shoulders.

          Good luck lady............Rockin'

You should go on youtube and look up some tedious 3 minute drills(punching and footwork) and do 2 rounds of each drill. Find 12 drills, that's 24 rounds. Then do your freestyle 4 on the bag and whatever else you want to do.
