    Coming out of retirement

Sup guys, it's been awhile since I've posted on here, so I thought I'd give everyone an update (like any of you care, lol).

Back in 09, I enlisted in the Army weighing 194 pounds. I gave up boxing training to begin what I thought was going to be my military career. It ended up not being my thing, so after a 9-month deployment to Iraq and ridiculous amounts of downtime upon returning home, I blew up to about 250 pounds!!!! The last time I weighed that much was when I was working at Arby's as a teenager and even then, I was around 240 pounds. So yeah, this was the most I have ever weighed in my life. After watching Mayweather vs. Cotto, I was instantly inspired to give boxing another go.

After about 3 years of no boxing whatsoever, I woke up at 4am, ran down to my local gym, which actually is only like...1/2 a mile from where I live, did 3 rounds of jump rope at varying speeds, 3 rounds of shadowboxing with 2 pound weights, 3 rounds of speed bag, 2 rounds of heavy bag with 14 ounce gloves, and 1 round of heavy bag with 4 ounce heavy bag gloves. I then walked back home sipping on a blueberry and banana shake, and a bottle of water.

So yeah, I'm pretty proud of what I just did. Hopefully I can stay motivated, shed this weight, and get even better than I was before with my boxing. YEAH SON(s)!!

Take it slow man, if your expecting to do all that everyday from now on, your mentally going to defeat yourself before you even get started. you can work up to where you can do that every day, but it takes time.

take it slow, if your sore take a few days off, but the most important thing is that you keep doing it. you dont want to go all out for 5 days feel sore , take week break then never come back. as long as you keep doing it, its going to have an effect.

        Stick with it mate.

Do your roadwork, get in the gym and you'll be in fighting shape in no time.
