    Uppercuts to the body

After watching this fight multiple times, I've noticed the Cuban does a lot of interesting things but something that stood out to me is his uppercuts to the body from more of a long range. Just watch the 1st round alone and you will see he throws about 5 or 6.

Can anyone breakdown how he is able to land these so easily it looks?
Also what other fighters throw the uppercut to the body from a mid-long range like this?

It becomes easier because he is a southpaw also because he seems to have a reach advantage.

Maybe its a Cuban thing because Guillermo Rigondeaux rips the left uppercut to the body from outside also

He can do it because of the way the guy in blue fights. When he puts his hands up around his head, he can't punch from there. Notice how he always draws back before he punches. So the southpaw can hit that right hook to the body, the left hand and step away. The blue guy isn't fighting, he is taking turns punching.

Lead hooks, lead uppercuts and straight rights (and of course the jab) are all good shots to throw to the body and even lead with them. They can work even better in a orhtadox vs southpaw match. On top of that the dude in blue gave him that opening the whole fight.

In the parts I seen the dude in red threw it almost predictable so I don't think he was doing anything to special. Its more like the dude in blue gave him that punch the whole fight.

Don't get me wrong the red dude looked really good but I would have liked to have seen the blue dude make him work to set that up a little more.

I've made a thread about Rigo's left upper cut to the body. He normally throws it as a counter as his opponent is punching. It seems incredibly dangerous but I've never seen him get caught throwing it. I've tried it a couple times in sparring and it definitely throws guys off and makes them uncomfortable but I incorporate a slip to my right (southpaw) as an extra defensive measure.
