    Khan's Power?

Anyone else think this is his most underrated attribute? Anytime I've seen him sit down on his punches they look crazy powerful.

BTW not a fan of Khan at all. In fact I really don't like him, but unlike 95% of posters here I don't lie about a fighters ability because I don't like them.

If he ever stops jumping up and down like an amateur he could score some big KO's IMO. He also usually throws arm punches as it was his style up until recently to move in and out (ambush fighter) I think that has taken away from his power as well

He has decent power with a lot of sting on his punches.. not very Heavy handed but sting and pop are definitely there.

Khan's biggest attribute is speed not power. He does not pivot well enough to be a real power puncher and is a bit of an arm puncher. He has some pop but power punchers stop people with a single shot with Khan when he finishes someone fit is with an onslaught of accumulated punches. He should hit harder at WW but he will need to also.

I agree his power is underrated. I also agree with Isaac.

What I disagree about is anything that Khan does is amateur. His movement period is world class.

That's just his style and if he tried to change it he would have less KO's imo.

Then you don't understand boxing period. His movement is terrible.

He leaves his head on the inside while throwing occasionally and drops right hand.

But as far as movement his footwork, head movement and fients are exceptional.

If you can please give some examples of what you mean.

At worst any of Khans excess movement would just be a waste of energy. But for the most part he uses all his movement to create openings and make people miss.

                  Great handspeed, horrible punching technique.

I think he is pretty feather fisted personally.

If he learned correct glove placement, to sit down on his punches & turn his hand over then things might be different. As it stands he doesn't have much pop at all for a guy with such speed.

He flares his elbows which = loss of snap, opponent can read attack better. This is why I laugh when someone claims he has a great jab.
A great jab you don't flare your elbows. Why do no trainers correct easily fixable flaws like this?
Great jab = elbows in. It should be straight from start to finish, the elbow should rotate as your arm extends not flare upwards and outwards.

Watch his fight with the slow Diaz. He was able to avoid virtually all of Khans onslaughts. That was just experience being able to read him because frankly he is a very predictable fighter.

His glove positioning is horrible, his hands aren't in a correct posture for him to be able to turn his hand over therefore he pushes shots generating little power.
