And I really think you should make that fight Nazfan. It's a bit creepy that it's at a prison but it adds to your experiance. Your opponent will be scared because he's lost already and won't want another lost and he's fighting an undefeated guy in a prison. Go for it!
ima gona make it if i can , but i aint asking for tym of work when im just starting on monday . i think i have a good chance of winning cos ive improved alot since my fight , ive been concentrating on hooking , taking it on the gloves , balance , keeping my chin tucked it and more , if i fight im gonna try and knock the wind out of this guy cos theres nothing you can do but run when tht hapens lol

My record is 1-1 (1KOs), but in the fight I lost, I was sick the day before, and didn't eat anything, so i ran outta steam.

I won the first 2 rounds then lost the last 1. I felt terrible after the first round alone :P

i used to box -am- but now i do jui jitsu, real wrestling(greco), and thai box, but i still train boxing, "one day i will be an ultimate fighter"
my am record- 16 wins, 2losses-decisions. 2draws, 9 T/KOs, never been cut, cut a few people in am bouts, my nose broke 1 time in a pissed punch up with a "local known brawler" who's mate had to join in because i picked the ****er up and slamed him on the floor then got the ****er in a choke. my mauy thai record- 1 win, 0 loss, 0draws. 0 T/KOs. and thats it.
i train at 4 after work every day except tuesdays and sundays, mon-thai box, wed-wrestling, thurs-jj, fri-box, sat-gym work, boxing routines and running all at home.

I had boxed for a couple weeks, but have to wait until I see the doctor for a while cuz my shoulder's messed up. But now I'm thinking of switching over to martial arts, not sure yet. As for training, trying to follow one of my workout books from rossboxing.

Realisticly, I don't care about a person's record, unless they were a good professional boxer. But one doesn't have to be a professional fighter to enjoy boxing. I've worked out with some decent retired pros, and they are encyclopedias of boxing, even if they didn't win a title. I also find that everything we do in striking martial arts is included in boxing (above the waist, of course). They just have to be more subtle. Also, some of the most knowledgeable people and trainers never had much luck fighting professionally simply from a lack of talent or opportunity. I've seen some guys who had the talent and skills to be really great, but they had personal failings or didn't have the connections. Boxing is dying in my area. No club system. They couldn't even fill the weight classes for Golden Gloves this year in a city of 3/4 million. The city frowns on boxing in city gyms. Thinks it gives us a black eye. When I was a kid, they didn't have boxing programs in my part of town. Now we basically have nothing in the way of programs, period.
