good boxing skills. You survived the heavy power shots in the 1st 2 rounds and stayed calm and composed. And then you just boxed beautifully in that last round not even giving him a chance to set his feet and throw any combos. Good timing on some of those counter shots too

Only thing i would suggest a bit on is footwork. Try working on pivoting more instead of backing up in a straight line when he rushes at you. And be a bit more relaxed you looked too tense at times.

This was a very entertaining fight and i couldnt tell that you only had 3 fights

Great win, so slick and confident and throwing those power punches in bunches. You picked him off with that long straight right. Good skills man, how are old and tall are you?

I second this advice. The guy was coming in (or attempting to) in some pretty predictable ways. If you had pick your spots to slip and/or step out and pivot around him, you could have turned him really nicely and set yourself up to land some nice counter shots. He was able to follow you straight backwards when you attempted to retreat. Be like Willie Pep -- in at one angle, out at a different angle. All in all, nice performance.

One thing i saw is the guy had his hands down if you could have slipped his straight left and throw a 2,3,2 on the side of his ear and while pivoting out. That's usually my main goal to get in position to throw a combo with a 2 to the ear. Either way you were light on your feet, and dealt with adversity when he was trying to tee off on you, that's something that doesn't come easy for most, and you should definitely be proud of your performance bud!

I watched a few minutes of the three and here it is very simply stated.

At 2:02 of the first round you step in with a combo that froze your opponent for a second. Then you stepped right into him with another combination that stunned him!!! The YOU moved away..........why? You fight as if it's a spar session, your a "sportsman" and that is no way to fight in a boxing match. If you step in to a man and land clean shots you keep going until he adjust to your punches. You made the fight close and you didn't look good in a lot of
movement. You often looked tentative and passive and that's not a good posture for judges to witness. I'm not suggesting that your boxing style should change in to Rocky Marciano but many of the boxer throughout history do NOT let their opponents off the hook as easily as you did.

I'm giving the most important impression I got from watching you perform. Having a solid jab and good movement is all well and great. When you have combination punching that is working you must KNOW IT and step up the pressure until adjustments are made! To me you could have stopped that guy starting at the 2:00 mark of the first round if you stayed with pressure!
It might take an opponent who applies this Method to you for you to totally understand me but take it from me, I know what I'm telling you is easier to accept than the opponent who doesn't let you slide off the pressure.
Boxing skills are supposed to set up combination punching. When its working perfectly you don't stop................unless you have no stamina or worse yet no will to end it!
Good luck you box well enough so theres no reason to tell such. I'm giving you what I see and if I was in your corner we would have been eating ice cream right after the first round!

Great observations and advice Ray. Just reading that I realized it applies to me as well.
