Shadow box with some weight, we used a roll a penny's and taped it up. That helped a lot.

And at the end of the day it's no mistake the fastest fighters are all guys who have been boxing since they were kids.

The more reps you have the better your muscle memory is. Boxing is a repetitious sport. Gotta put that work in. the more you practice, the faster you'll get.

I really like and swear by resistance bands. Not only did my hand speed improve but so did form. (Im 32 and started using them at 31) Shadow boxing as Addix mentioned is the way any trainer will say to improve speed, just be careful especially with hand weights to never fully extend your punches because thats a quick way to mess up your elbow joints. I also really like the ankle/wrist weights Everlast makes, they come with a loop for your thumb and are about 3lbs each. I have my oldest son wear them as we distance run and throw punches.

Yup! put weight on your fist. either a tiny dumbell will work. no more than 2 pounds though. and shadowbox with it.

Im 147er and 6ft, thats to say I have an aptitude for long and fast punches like 1 or 2.
I used to shadowbox only with handwraps on and I was fast but when I equip the gloves my speed would decrease like hell.
So I started to do everything with the gloves on, including my shadowboxing and since then my speed has improved and biceps got bigger, my body adapted to it.

In your GIF, notice that the impressive thing is not his hand-speed, it's his hips and footwork. Anyone can flicker. Getting your whole body to sync up is the challenge. Train SLOW. Go through even the most remedial of movements in a slow manner and think about every muscle involved. Take away tension where possible. Building muscle memory in the right way and reducing tension will speed you up tremendously.

                  Wanking

Floyd is one of the fastest boxers & it's no coincidence he's one of the biggest Wankers

You wanna be fast like floyd?

...Then pull the head of it
