How to Lose 10 Lbs. in a Month

New member here. Fighting in the Golden Gloves Novice Division in a month. I currently weigh 161 lbs. but would like to fight in the 152 lb. class. Any advice on how to safely lose this weight without feeling weak or depleted?

Honestly 10 lbs in a month is nothing its less then 2 lbs a week, its all about caloric intake -500 calories a day from what you're currently consuming check your weight a few times a week if you're losing slower than expected reduce your calories try this calculator

Make peanut butter your best friend the last 2 weeks and do lots of cardio. Also stay away from sodium and dairy.

I have only been dieting for 6 days, I went from eating a lot to nothing but a chicken salad with two servings of chicken with a side some vegetables and fruit for both lunch and dinner, and half of half a bagel, a serving of bacon, a small side of fried potatoes and 2 eggs over easy for breakfast. No snacks. I have already lost 6 pounds. I am not really trying to loss that much weight, just replace it with muscle.

When you first go on a diet that is low carb you lose a lot of water weight because you use up your glycogen stores in your muscles and glycogen binds to water molecules.

You don't want to have no glycogen stores when you fight.

Cut that bagel, bacon, fried potatoes and eggs out!

If you are really serious about boxing and dieting you should not be eating all the greasy, fatty stuff.
Leave the oil, the fatty food for the unhealthy.

And do not practice Low Carb a month before deadline!
Low Carb is only really beneficial for losing weight 3 days or maximum a week before the deadline.

Eat clean, whole foods. Such as potatoes, rice, pasta, lentils, beans, corn, soy with vegetables and fruits to lose weight.

You will A: be much healthier and have more energy
and B: will have it much easier to lose weight as you can pretty much can not overeat/ eat too much calories with these whole foods.

Agree with most above 10lbs in a month isnt an obscene amount, I recommend swapping pork or beef for fish. I tend to find fish (tuna or swodfish) makes me feel less lethargic when the real weight cutting begins (pribably to do with zinc and omega in it) dont just grind out mile after mile on the road try some interval training. Sprint to lampost jog to next, sprint to next lampost, jog to next and so on.

Focus, you should be able to do 10lbs.

Fruit with greek yoghurt (not greek style) and whey protein shake for breakfast.
Nuts and seeds late morning for a snack (almonds and hazelnuts).
Chicken with brown rice and peas for lunch, and apple for dessert.
Mid afternoon I tend to have biltong (jerky probably more available in US but biltong leaner)
Evening I tend to have stir fry chicken or tuna with fresh veg (broccoli, carrot, sugarsnaps, babycorn, simetimes spinach and I use little to now oil. Bland I know but it will help

Calories in vs. Calories out that's all there is to it. 10lbs in a month is nothing, unless you're at a very low BF%.
