Victor Ortiz vs Canelo. Ortiz had a tuneup against Josesito Lopez but got his jaw broke and lost out on the money fight.

Legacy-wise? Absolutely nothing.
But maybe he can parlay it into a bigger fight. Maybe Gervonta for the WW title at a 141 lb catchweight or Benn which would be a big event in England after his war with Eubank. Maybe he’ll chase the circus fight with Jake Paul or Conor McGregorLast edited by Dodger07; 05-15-2025, 07:52 PM.

It definitely would mean more if David beats either one. You’d hear things like “Now we know why Canelo ducked him, etc”. It would add credibility to the idea of him being a feared monster which many fans see him as.
But I’d argue it’s meaningful for them too...

Crawford-Boots is THE fight for P4P supremacy imo
Other amazing fights with major P4P implications:
Bam-Martinez
Inoue-Espinoza
Benavidez-Bivol/Beterbiev winner
Tank-Teofimo...
