    Couldn't you sell before you pass to avoid this?

    This is some chit. There has to be a way around this if it passes. The next ********** president is going to be super busy undoing all this ****.

        'If they get slammed with the taxes – let’s say in 20 years it’s worth $18 million... the government may look just at the $550,00 we paid for the lot and then the kids will have no alternative but to sell the house they grew up in to meet the tax.

        'It’s a money grab. It’s punishing people and families that want to keep their family house in the family.


        Let’s not get carried away with a lot of nonsense. Obviously anything you put into the place will come out of the profit made. In this example, the property has from being an empty lot to a multimillion dollar property. Pretty sure the lot didn’t develop itself, a lot of money went into it.
        im certainly not going to just freak out about this law till I understand a lot more about it.
