Been laid off a few times. Didn't cry at all. I knew layoffs were coming all but once. That one time pissed me off since I wasn't looking for a new job already. I just looked for another job and filed for unemployment until I got a new job each time. I always keep a nice chunk of emergency money in a bank account just in case something like that happens. Bills never stop.

I have been fired a ridiculous amount of times. Used to work for my dad and whenever we would argue, he’d fire me. Would get hired again the next week or so. Must have been fired 15+ times lol. It conditioned me to not give a damnCitizen Koba likes this.

I've only ever quit proper jobs, for better jobs. Once when I was backpacking in Australia I was doing day odd jobs and got sent to a scrap yard where some prick wanted me to get all the insulation off copper cables with what was basically a kitchen knife, and I didn't get much done so he gave me some money for what I'd done that day and sent me on my way. I wasn't exactly torn up about it.

Been fired a lot, walked out far more times than that. I'm frankly a very poor employee.
Usually I'm a hard and dedicated worker for a few months but then quickly lose interest once I basically got the job figured out and got a few quid in my pocket. I also never had the requisite level of respect for employers. I also had a habit of making free with employers or companies property, drinking or getting high on the job and taking unplanned holidays.... TBH I was probably fortunate I never had charges brought, although it was close a coupla times.
Overall in the end it's probably best all round that I gave up working for other people and now am kinda half-assed self employed... ain't never gonna be rich, but I work pretty much the hours I please and don't piss on anyone's toes. Works for me anyways.
