    Global Warming and Pennsylvania

The Laurel Run mine fire in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, started burning in 1915 and is still burning.

The Centralia mine fire in the borough of Centralia, Pennsylvania, started burning in 1962 and is still burning.

Why is so much money being put into renewables when we're literally not even putting out fires?

Might be because putting out some fires is easier said than done. A burning seam of coal could literally be thousands of feet deep and miles long.
