Never buying a Chevy again!

Absolute piece of sh#t. Just have over 100K on it, but it’s had more problems than it should have.

It already overheated once before back when it had like 70K or 80K on it. Had to replace several hoses and leaks for that one. Then it was leaking oil once.

Now, 2 months ago, I needed the whole coolant system replaced because it was running hot. That was $2,900, but I had a coupon that brought it down to $2,500, big fu#king deal.

Now keep in mind that was 2 months ago. NOW, it started running hot again . Check engine lights been on.

Now they saying it had oil leaks again and there might be something wrong with the gasket. That’s me bringing it into service 2 times in 2 months.

I’m fu#king done. I understand the Cruze was a “value” model, but my fu#king god. I don’t expect any car to have these type of issues at just over 100K. I cannot wait to get my moms Honda next year.

I’m never ever going with Chevy again.

Could be as simple as a clogged thermostat, or the plastic clip that connects the electronic sensor was preciously damaged during the system replacement, so it's not sending the signals. Both are cheap fixes. The coolant system should still be under warranty. When an engine runs hot, gaskets and hoses can wear prematurely. Typically, the head gasket burns and needs replacement...that's expensive.

I don't see myself buying a new car again in this lifetime. Let someone else roll the dice. I'll hold back then buy a low mileage car with a great track record.

It’s better to take a chance on a new car than a used one though, no? Used cars come with a lot of risks. Unless you buy a used Toyota/Lexus from an old white person from Newport Beach, or somebody you know for sure have taken care of their car.

Im not against buying used cars, but it’s tough. If somebody is just looking for a beater, it’s not hard to find but if they are looking to spend more than 10- 15K, They’d be better off putting it to a new lease or even buying. Just my opinion.

I wouldn’t mind a beater like a Lexus GX 460 or Land Cruiser for road trips.. But these “ outlanding “ azzholes inflated the prices so much it’s ridiculous lol.

You can buy a sh#t box beater, a 2000 Saturn Ion with 200,000 miles on it for $1,000, and yeah it’s gonna breakdown in less than a year.

Or you can get a certified used 2021 Honda Civic with 20,000 miles on it for like $20,000. It’s cheaper than new, basically still gonna drive like new for at least a few more years, is still gonna be under warranty, and it’s not gonna have any real problems for several more years.

Yea I can trust a Honda. My friend’s grandpa had an 03’ Honda CRV collecting dust in the garage so my other buddy bought it off of him for 1500 and no bullsht, it rode just as smooth as the modern CRVs. It just required basic maintenance and bam! Zero issues.

Ive had several Hondas and they are legit. I dont think their transmission is as reliable as Toyota but they certainly ride better.

It’s the first thing to check...only costs a few bucks, and it's a DIY job in a few minutes.
