This is darkly humorous! It really highlights the disparity in accountability. It’s crazy how the government can “lose track” of billions or even trillions of dollars, yet the IRS is laser-focused on every small transaction the average person makes. Makes you wonder where all that money actually goes. We’re all expected to report everything down to the cent, but massive amounts of public funds go unaccounted for.
