      While “gunboat diplomacy” certainly has a long history, the modern strategic theater in the Indo-Pacific is more nuanced. Australia’s freedom of navigation operations align with international law, particularly UNCLOS.

          Australia has nothing to fear. They are not located near China like Taiwan and Japan are. And the Philippines.

          It does not get much press in the West, but most nations that are aligned against China in Asia.

          These are sevel who doubt China has as many people as they claim. And their economy is a house of cards.​
