    Morales Mexican heart...wow.

    I just got done watching his fight with Maidana. Wow...i had goose bumps almost the entire fight! I gotta say, i always liked Morales, and watched his wars with Pac, he really proved that Mexican heart is no myth when it comes to boxing!

    I love how he responds to vicious combos, coming back with his own attack...lol. I had the fight a draw, and think he just might have beaten Maidana if it wasn't for that eye...what a mess. What a warrior. Mexican boxing fans must be very proud of him.

    It was nice of Maidana to give him a rematch. But just my :2 cents:, i think Maidana actually gained more (experience) in that fight, and Eric got something taken out of him, only because of his age. I think Maidana wins a rematch.

    I always have enjoyed the healthy and fun Mexican-PR boxing rivalry, and respect all races. Too bad some people gotta take it to extremes.
    Just wanted to come here and show my respect for that Mexican heart I've been reading so much about. Morales (and others) have shown it over and over in his career. A definite HOF'er!

    Maidana is Filipino, he has no punching power .

      well said amigo, Morales is a lion, a beast, glad to see him take on no easy fighter, look how long it too Khan to fight Maidana, Erik comes in, old and somewhat rusted and still put on a hell of a show

      I havent seen the full fight, but thanks to a bud, I will watch it tonight from my PC, I have only seen highlights


      I think from here, being that Morales is older and there is no telling how long he can fight at this level, he should go for broke and face fighters like Judah, Marquez, Ortiz or Breto and Khan

        Yes sir Morales is for sure top ten mexican great. thanks for the respect shown. Morales is a epitome of a mexican warrior in the ring

          great mexican fighter, always puts on a great show for the fans, i must say this card was pretty good. guerrero put on a great show too.

            Maidana is of Argentine descent. I got this from a scroogle search, cuz i don't know what to call his race... Argentine vs Argentinian
            Which is correct. When in Argentina (some years ago) people referred to themselves as Argentines (with a long "i"). In more recent postings, I've seen them referred to as Argentinians. The phrases, "This is a picture of an Argentine countryside," or "He is an Argentine performer,"--are they pass?

            Hi,

            As far as I know, people here and elsewhere use "Argentinian", "Argentine" and even "Argentinean". I saw this last one in an American dictionary this year. I myself use the first one.

            So, w/e, the point is at the start of the fight, they announced Maidana as Argentinian or Argentine, not Filipino...lol.

                    Katsidis is a tough SOB, can't lie but Guerrero put an ass woopin on him. I can't believe he was still standing after some of those left hands and upper cuts.
