Why hasn't DR produced as many great fighters as PR, Cuba, Mexico, etc.? I can't really think of a truly famous fighter from DR.

Because they love baseball more than anything.

But if you want to get technical:

      1. There are no many gyms out there.
      2. They havent had the chance to have a champion get national attention and become hero (for us, Benitez, Gomez, Trinidad did it)
      3. The love baseball too much to do. Baseball is king.

Gold winner from Beijing. Beat Manus Boomjumong the olympic gold winner in 2004. He's 12 and 0 as a pro now but 29 so he has to be moved along fast

I'm heading to DR at the end of the month to see if we sign a couple of prospects.

We are looking at 5 kids.

Trainer but I'm heading there with our manager and head trainer from the gym. One kid is supposed to be very highly touted with international experience in the amateurs.

Baseball, I was over there for close to 2 months, you literally got kids playing with balls made out of socks. I brought the boxing gloves over there, beat up a ton of them in sparring, nothing to be prideful about as all they do is throw wide punches, but boxing doesn't seem to be in their hearts. A couple of them actually loved boxing but again...very few. I even left my gloves over there too.
