Sage Northcutt undergoes nine-hour?surgery for eight fractures from KO punch

It only took Cosmo Alexandre one punch to send Sage Northcutt into the operating room.

Taking to Instagram, Northcutt revealed he had suffered eight fractures from Alexandres knockout blow at ONE Championship: Enter the Dragon, forcing him to undergo nine hours of surgery in Singapore.

In terms of competition, the setback marked Northcutts (11-3) first loss since coming up short to Mickey Gall in December 2016. The man known as Super?previously rattled off three straight victories over Michel Quiones, Thibault Gouti and Zak Ottow inside the UFC Octagon. Following that string of success, Northcutt made waves by announcing he was leaving the UFC in favor of signing with ONE Championship.

For Alexandre (8-1), a multiple time kickboxing champion, the victory extended his win streak to eight straight while marking his sixth career (T)KO.

    Got damn.

That was a crazy f#cking shot. Didn't realize it did THAT much damage doe.

This ONE Championship no-weight cutting sh^t is showing how much things can change (or maybe its just bad variance so far idk) when guys are forced to fight at their true weight. Eddie Alvarez got merked in his ONE debut. Sage got his jaw destroyed in his ONE debut. And I haven't seen Mighty Mouse's debut, but I heard the other guy had some moments too despite losing.

can you f#cking imagine waking up after a nine hour surgery in singapore? talking to a doctor via a translator, questioning why the f#ck it took nine hours to repair a broken jaw and whether or not they used chewing gum and shoelaces. holy **** what a f#cking sport these combat sports are. dude probably made less for this fight than he did for some of his promotional work.
i hope he can sing and dance.
