I never rated Taylor. I personally believe that he confused Hopkins with his utter disdain of true boxing skill in favour of athleticism, which as we now know, didn't carry him much further than those two major wins.

Moore would beat most of them but Chicken Dirrels hand speed would give him problems and Ward is an overall good fighter so he would too.

prime Tayor vs prime moore at 168 is definitely a good fight though. If Moore doesn't catch him late he'd lose.

With second day weigh ins I'm still not sure if he could make 168 effectively, maybe if he really drained down. Yeah he made 175 but don't think he didn't cut weight even with 1 day. He probably cut 5-6 lbs. So thats almost 15 lbs he'd have to cut. Some can do it I suppose.
Moore sometimes cut up to 30+ pounds of weight to make the 175 lb limit. He was known as the premium weight-managing wizard of his day. 168 would have been very difficult for him to make by the time he was 40 years old, but with today's advantages he could have pulled it off.

Mate, I haven't seen that tribute before, it's phenominal, fitting seeing that it's the Mongoose, he's one of my favorite fighters, has been ever since I saw that incredible Durelle fight. I don't know exactly where to put him on the p4p GofAT list, in the top 35 in my opinion but I'm not sure how high up. As far as the fighters I've seen on film go, he's top 10 for sure, I'm only including post 20's films as it's too hard to compare to later films, and because it's unfair to the old timers.--------------------------------------------------------- it's a great post and an even better reply, I've seen some of your youtube films and they are great.

Tricky one, would he have to fight them all at the same time or would just the same night be ok?

Personally I don't think a 40 y/o Moore could make 168 the day before the weigh in or a week before the weigh in. He knew exactly how to get to 175 when he had to. That extra 7 lbs would have killed him.

Moore would never make the 168 pound weight during his prime. But if the super six fighters moved to 175, Moore would just send them back to 168!
