Just a quick look at boxrec's top 20 ranked HW's heights it looks like some super HW **** to me. Half of them are 6'4+. And thats not even getting into the weights which are usually 230lbs+. These are not your dads HW's. And honestly its no surprise. People seem to be getting bigger, only makes sense the no limit boxing division would show the same.

    6'9 x1
    6'7 x1
    6'6 x2
    6'5 x2
    6'4 x4
    6'3 x4
    6'2 x4
    6'1 x1
    5'11 x1

elroy is a troll account,a nd should be banned from history.

he's either pulling our legs or genuinely lives under a bridge. either way, he shoud be booted.

lamon brewster had nearly identical dimensions to joe louis. in his prime, louis was absolutley ripped and 205-210 lbs. brewster was much looser at 225. they're virtually the same size.

When a fighter is lean at a certain weight, while the other is rotund and chubby, the former is considered to be naturally bigger.

By your account, James Toney is as big as Wladimir Klitschko because they both weigh 240 pounds.

Totally proven? Where's the evidence then? Put up or shut up.

So basically you are going to ignore the fact that both landed a similar amount of punches, and that Vitali himself thought he was going to lose, because a panel of judges in Germany thought otherwise? You're stretching it. The fight was competitive.

And Vitali said in a post-fight interview that there was an injury, but it was not the reason why he quit. He also admitted that he couldn't withstand Byrd's southpaw style.

Bowe ducked Lennox because of politics. A fight between them was in the making and then Lewis got knocked out by McCall.

Also, Golota was sedated right before the Lewis fight due to a knee injury and had a seizure in the dressing room afterwards. Well known.

Lewis struggled as much as Holyfield did. Holyfield "lost half as much as he won"? He was 36-3 going into the Lewis fight. One loss was to Bowe in their first fight and it was the only legitimate loss of his early career. In the third Bowe fight he had hepatitis and gassed out in the mid rounds, against Moorer he was diagnosed with cardiovascular problems and retired for a year right afterwards.

I'm going to assume you're not going to consider his loss streak in the 2000s when he was beyond washed up.

And again, Holyfield arguably beat Lewis in their second fight!!! Why are you ignoring this?
Your point is correct. This point has been argued, demonstrated over and over again...Elroy is not logical. But for what it is worth, your correct. Basically there is no trend regarding super size in the division...thats a fact. People unable to think logically confuse the fact that lewis and Vlad happen to be big heavyweights, with a trend....its really as simple as that.

            Wladimir Klitschko

            6'5-6'7" 245lbs

            It's clear...

You have to go back to Mike Tyson of thye 80's, a very special case, to find a shorter dude in lieu of 220lbs.
Thats the only fighters you call dominant....there is a difference and don't pipe "thats a fact" because though I would think it impossible it makes you sound even more ******. Holyfield? Tyson? Among others

So what? when Patterson was the champ did people say the division is dominated by a super light heavy? at the time the youngest champ? a man with speed that rivaled sugar ray? Yes that would be hyperbole, and one or two champs does not make a trend.

But it is a trend, Lennox was the champ before Vlad, and Joshua likely the future champ... or one of the other up and coming superheavies... Unless Povetkin can take over, but he is already 36 I believe.

Same ol' same ol'...................the forum needs elroid and juggerstein to keep stirring the pot. The Fantasy and History forums would slow down dramaticly so the same topics are dragged through the mud monthly now!

The forum has run its course and without the main forum the entire place would be null & void.
Its bad enough that haters are every where and the fanboys are totally ignorant now the same old topics are in session non stop. BORING!

Any boxing fan who considers Frazier & Ali as BUMS needs to be banned.
Simple as that , why put up with haters and ignorance?

You know what? If Joshua does so, come talk to me. Weltz if you want to see a definite trend look at somethng like MMA and how guys have to train compared to when the UFC first started...Even with that if Joshua becomes a champ we can talk...I doubt it frankly.

We could have a scenario of course were the contenders all battle for the belts and fight each other, but how realistic is this?

There was this new kid from N.Y., Juggernaut mentioned him somewhere, 'the new Mike Tyson'. We need something like this to emerge, some of the current amateurs too.

Fact is the heavies are becoming heavier, and bigger. And they are not Primo Carnera's, these new guys have skill.
