Ha! I always tell people that Cooney could have won if he had a gun.

My apologies to Queens for not getting back in a timely manner. It will be her, I promise. But I've never said Cooney didn't fight a great fight. If his management had brought him along a little better he may have had a shot to win. He fought a good fight in my opinion. He was just out skilled, albeit experience or mismanagement. No knock on him...at the time I was rooting for Cooney. But looking at at objectively, I can't see a case where Holmes was in trouble of losing a decision.

To a different degree it was almost like Vits-Bytd. Vitally clearly was winning, but the rounds were close.

--- Well Jabber, we have to disagree on your scoring philosophy, ie Vit vs Byrd.

I don't reward a fighter for a chicken rendered defense where we could visualize the squawking dust and feathers as he sprints and contorts into unholy contortions.

Vitali only mistake was a AMA lack of pro corner when he allowed his corner to pull him, and he paid a heavy price for that.

Vitali actually quit. "It hurts too much".

Holmes fought a great fight plan. Constantly moving, side stepping away from Cooneys left side. Clinching once Cooney got too close. Usuing the jab to stymie Gerrys offense and his right hand to hurt him.

Not to mention Vits only landed 8 more punches the entire fight and Byrd backed him up much of it. Not sure of the Holmes-Cooney punch stats, but this is pretty telling considering Byrd took the fight on two weeks notice, was much smaller it was never known for having much pop in his punches.

For someone who has been making a fool of himself during your short time here, you seem to like to throw around insults. Very sorry to hear you're unable to debate the facts. Seems to be par for the course with you.

--- Punch monkey stats about as reliable as green cheese on the moon.

Been proven over and over in slowmo replays that also have limitations.

Marketing scam for noobs of the nascent computer era back in the day. Pull the curtain back and it's just a pair of Billy Bub and Goober drunked up hayseeds with joy sticks...read it and weep for thee.
