Galento was underestimated but very hittable. When he fought Bauer it looked like Maxie was beating up the Men's room valet.

Williams would most likely stop him.

It’s not cut and dry. Williams has to hit a very low target that is looking for him to reach down to his level. Williams was no great technical fighter. Galento was a highly feared ko puncher in his day. (as was Williams). Galento had the far better whiskers.

Galento was indeed under estimated. he was actually solid, its just that his shape was like that of a barrel. He also did train hard... used to run at night after tending bar.

I remember a friend of mine told me Galento walked into the gym he was training at in the early 60’s. Seeing a heavy bag Galento took off his jacket and nearly broke the bag in half with one immense left hook. My friend, and this was 20 years later, said it was one of the most powerful looking blows he ever saw.

A Louis fanboy hyping up one of the cans he beat(after getting decked by said can). Nothing biased about this, Galento was great. Lets keep it moving.

Learn anything about Louis yet? Study you. YOU need it.

Only a boxing illiterate would equate his greatness to WW2. He certainly was a hero during that time but was praised way before then regarding his technical merit. Most highly skilled of all heavyweight champions and one of boxing’s all time hitters. Best combination puncher in boxing history.

Know your history. Galento was a feared puncher and only Louis ever knocked him down.
