i agree with stormin normin....definately run on the dirt or even the street is better then the side walk...
also if you are looking to lose fat...throw in some sprints....it will make your engine turn on from steady to overdrive and youll start to burn more calories that way....
i run five days a week only about two miles but its mostly up-hill and i add in around four sprints....
but thats cuz i gotta get my endurance back...
i used to run cross country back in the day....
    anyways cheers mate,
    and the best of luck!!
I use an insole called sorbothane double strike. It absorbs 94.7 % of the shock.Theyr'e good for running on hard surfaces and good for shin splints

I think for boxing, 3-4 times a week is just right with alternative conditioning (burpees, circuits etc) used on other days

Mix up your runs, a long run, sprints, tempo run, 400-800m intervals

my suggestion is dont run everyday.. its dangerous especially if you're just beggining run three times a week on the days your not at the gym.. skip rope for about 15 minutes when your at the gym and your stamina should steadily increase and after a few months run three times a week still but push it up to 5 miles and 20 minutes on the jump rope.. and your stamina will start to become significant in your spars..

There is alot of guys that are pro and are about to turn pro in my gym and one guy who missed the olympics by 1 fight at my gym runs 3 times a week 4 miles a clip.. and works his ass off at the gym..

Yeah that seems to work for me too, 4 miles 3-3.5/week means you're not carrying fatigue into the regular workouts.

i read about all these people doing 10 miles a day, and honestly is there any need to run that much?
