Sprinting is more natural than not, if your good usually the ability can be quickly spotted. Boxing is more technical mastery. Jesse Owens ran a 9.4, that is crazy fast. Did you read my posts or do you enjoy being ignorant. EVERY .1-.01 part of a second COUNTS. Races are won by that marginal difference. 9.5 vs 9.6 is a BIG difference, 10 vs 11 is a HUGE difference. My standards? What are you talking about? My standard is approx 11.7 which is not really fast, so I don't know why you're saying that I've been running against horses as sarcasm.

So 11.7 - 12 is an unfathomable diffrence that makes 12 slow where as 11.7 is just not really fast?

Point that ive been trying to make is that if your training for sprinting then you can be a good sprinter and if your going for boxing you can be a good boxer but there is no way that you will be 100% in both. so if your expecting a top boxer to compete with olympic sprinters thats just ******ed. this isnt a sprinting match its a boxing match and .01 dosent make a diffrence its the days weeks and months training that makes the diffrence. some guy might be able to only do 15's on the 100m but he can still kick your arse if he trains hard.

I never said it was but as I've stated time and again each and every .1 second makes a difference and at the elite level every .01 makes a difference (also in close races they don't necessarily need to be elite). 12s-13s are common middle school numbers. 11s are very common in HS, lower 11s being really fast. 10s in high school are really great. I think you may have misinterpreted what I meant regarding sprinters doing boxing. What I mean was given that sprinter's (in the list) athletic prowess, based solely on athleticism he could potentially be a decent boxer. A great boxer doesn't necessarily have to be great at sprinting as the skills don't translate. I wasn't expecting a top boxer to compete at sprinting. Another thing you misinterpreted is whether .01 would make a difference in sprinting and boxing. Sprinting yes, boxing no. I never claimed it would, this recent discussion about sprinting has been about purely sprinting and nothing to do with boxing.

and I've already submitted details of my training runs, which I used to do 4 times a week.. I was only an average LD runner..
He brought it up, I commented on it, other people replied and so on. It appears that you haven't read the thread.

I might have initiated it, at the time I had no idea that someone was gonna argue with me about track despite obviously having never done it. And why do you keep changing what you're talking about?

I dont really have much more to say about what i say before. i mean if ive allready said it why say more.

thats like telling some one to take my previous advice when all ive told them is that their slow.

Personally i think the thread would have been better if it had gone in the direction of long distance running and in some ways im jsut trying to annoy you, or maybe im just lonely and i want to have a conversation with some one.

I was thinking you were trying to annoy me after the "So you admit to taking the thread off topic" remark but regardless, I'm done posting here.
