      I have been doing muay thai for a long time. A good clincher will beat you at thai pummelling and the plum clinch but a bodylock absolutely stops you getting kneed.

      ..and of course it takes practice idiot, it just takes wrestling practice instead of thai clinch practice

        I thought your other post was silly. Guys that train in Europe spend little to no time on the clinch. Thais spend an hour a day just clinching since they're little kids. My stance remains that there is no easy way to deal with this glaring difference in experience like your post suggested. That's why K-1 banned the clinch altogether.

        No need to start calling people names either, fella.

          The fact is Thais DO get beaten.. In fact the Lumpinee rules were actually changed to disallow the bodylock because it was an efficient stall/throw tactic.
