    Do you agree with this? But I was thiniking if I done cardio(Run/Abs) on the off days, would that still hurt my muscle recovery?
    No, net necesseraly, however with cardio you will burn calories that your body would otherwise use for recovery and growth, so if growth is what you are looking for, cardio should be minimalized.
    Also, muscles like abs and calves can be trained multiple times a week, since they are mostly slow twitch fiber, wich makes them very hard to damage and develop.

      I, personally, train 5-6 times a week, but I developed a very high work capacity over the years with boxing and weight training. If you are new 4 times a week(2 on, 1 off days) is sufficient.

        depends how hard you work. if its realy high intensity you might need 3 rest days a week. if its realy light you can go all week. generaly though you need one full day and dont work out the same muscles on consecutive days. so high intensity 3 days, cardio 3 days and rest 1. im not sure wether boxing counts as cardio or high intensity. i guess it depends what you do at your gym. at mine i would say high intensity but we do lots of pressups, sparing e.c.t. if you do mostly technice at a slower pace then maybe cardio.
