United Airlines to hire only female pilots starting this decade

As soon as there are 50% white trainees, no one else will be considered even if they have all the skills to make a great pilot, unless your black. Basically, you'll be told, "Sorry, we have enough white people". If that's not discrimination, I don't know what is.

That's not exactly how it would work. They want 50% of their school trainees to be women OR POC. That would mean that 50% could be entirely made of white women.


That's if it's even made to be so rigid. All the statement says is, "We PLAN for 50% of our admitted students to be women or people of color."


Also, the people of color that they hire don't have to be black.
