Puerto Rico for being an Island of about 4 million people has had many ATG's. It's a great tradition and country for boxing.

I think the reason so many Mexicans don't care for Puerto Rican fighters is because Puerto Ricans tend to be big talkers, and in Mexico we are tught (even though some don't act this way here) to be humble and let your fists do the talking.

Also because Puerto Rican fighters have a style that is more of a moving style, a slicker boxing style. We like blood and guts, that's the way we were raised and the way we are trained. to come forward and take one to give one.

Just two different cultures and styles but you can't deny that PR has had some of the greatest boxers of all time.
yeah they all talk **** except cotto

thats why cotto is the man lol

puerto rico boxing today fell off behind england, ukraine and argentina , traditionally puerto rico was up their with mexico and the United States but i wonder how long can puerto rico can be this boxing state of depression(i guess) that it is today

buuuuuuut - if you think about it ... if we didn't have trinidad beasting for all those years and it was just a gap between camacho's hay-day at 135 until cotto started his path of destruction at 140 .. we'd be the phillipines.

we're firmly in 3rd place as I see it - can't see how cuba the phillipines or the UK could be better than us for the 3rd spot .... with mexico taking 1st place and the US 2nd.
