In QLD I'd recommend seeing some of the Sunshine Coast (Noosa might be the best bet), Gold Coast (Coolangatta is better than Surfers Paradise imo). If you spend some time in Brisbane get loose at Fortitude Valley if you're into the club scene. If you're a pub man try the Normanby or the Royal Exchange for a good Sunday session. As for the rest of QLD.. not alot up north until you hit Cairns and then there's the Great Barrier Reef. Cairns nightlife is pretty ****, although the women are notoriously easy.
Sydney is good for tourist spots and sightseeing.. apart from Darwin, which is a hot **** hole, that's all the tips I can give.

It's a tourist haven mate. Lots of apartments on the foreshore.
Not my cuppa tea but it is popular with a lot of people from interstate and overseas. Then again I'm not really a beach person.
