allright so after 9 it was just boxers i had some respect for order dosent matter formen should be above tyson but not so much holyfeild mostly because i dont know much about him other then he fought lennox lewis and valuve.

Jim Jeffries was the man he didnt really know how to box but he tried really hard and i mean common he won in a match where the other person might have had plaster or had the stuffing removed from the glove knuckles. also he had to lose alomost 100 pounds for the jack johnson fight that would be like mike tyson coming out of retirement to fight one of the klitchkos in 2 months have you seen mike lately? who do you think is going to win might be entertaining

jack dempsey he tried really hard and he had skills have you read championship fighting? its free do a search for jack dempsey championship fighting and its on a site called scribe you can read it for free. atleast check out the power line, and shovel hooks you may allready know what it has to say or it might just convince you to read the whole book

I really dont understand how someone can put Jack Johnson and Langford so high, but not even have Wills on their list. it makes no sense, considering Wills beat all the guys Johnson and Langford did(and even had wins over Langford too)

it's bad but i always forget this guy existed

just unceremoniously stuck him at #15 on my list after remembering him at the last second

I think everyone forgets about Wills! I don't rank Langford because he was really a Welterweight and while he fought Heavyweights in truth he fought everyone from Lightweight on up so I just rank him in the division where he was at his best. Kind of like Charley Burley.

I dont blame you, theres almost no existing footage of him...and the footage that does exist is pretty bad.

but still, it seems real messed up to have Jack Johnson in the top 3, but not even have Wills in the top 15. Wills shares most of Johnson's best wins, and beat Langford multiple times when Langford actually weighed in as a Heavyweight(unlike Johnson, who beat Langford when Langford weighed a mere 156lbs)

Im not claiming that Wills should be rated higher than Johnson, but surely he should be rated not much lower than him, however high you have Johnson. hell, even a past prime version of Wills still beat Firpo, who was one of Dempsey's more notable wins.

I dont rate Langford for the same reason.

                    IMO:

                    1. Joe Louis
                    2. Ali
                    3 Lennox Lewis
                    4. Marciano
                    5. Holmes
                    6 Tyson
                    7. Dempsey
                    8. Jack Johnson
                    9. Wills
                    10. Holyfield
                    11. Foreman
                    12. Jim jeffries
                    13. Liston
                    14. Frazier
                    15. John L. Sullivan

And that's pretty much the whole list of ATG ever.

Just a reminder, being a good deserving champ does not make a fighter ATG.

About Gene Tunney, he does not make the list for having fought too little at HW, he belongs at the light heavywheight ATG list.
