It's not just learning about racism. Disney is forcing people to learn about it with their information and doesn't want their employees using any of their own research. It even says in that article to "not rely on your black colleagues to educate you." They want their employees to only learn using information they give to them. That's indoctrination. If people just allow stuff like this, we'll someday live in a world where everyone just thinks and looks the same. So yes, racism bad, but so is forcing everyone to think the same. How about they let employees think for themselves and if any of them turn out to be racist, they fire them? There's a novel concept. “take ownership of educating yourself about structural anti-black racism."


It simply means you can educate yourself instead of imposting on your black colleagues to help you understand everything.

They are encouraging their employees to learn something about systemic racism,etc., and to continue to pursue their own research into it. If they didn't have programs like that, most people likely wouldn't look into it on their own. Maybe they believe that it will make for a better work environment, or in general, a better world. What's wrong with that? The workers are free to make up their own minds yet.

I've seen many people here say that there is no systemic racism in America. The evidence shows that they are wrong, and I certainly think it would help if they were aware that they are wrong about that.

It's obviously not only about overtly doing racist things. It's about a deeper understanding. I don't see why there is an issue with their working for all people to understand these things.
